OK, was I the only one who fell for the Bigfoot story? I think I wanted to believe more than anything - and sometimes people will let that need to believe outweigh the physical science involved.

Since I’m bored, let’s debunk this crazy story. You know it I’m sure — Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, are the two who say they discovered a Bigfoot corpse while hiking in the woods of northern Georgia. They also are co-owners of a company that offers Bigfoot merchandise. Well now that’s interesting, eh?

First, there haven’t been any other fossil records found, ever. If such a large mammal exists - a fossil or mere bone fragment would’ve been found by now. Something that large just can’t “disappear” when it dies.

So show me a body, and I’ll sell you some oceanfront property in Arizona.

Next - I’ve seen a ton of Bigfoot shows on The Discovery, Science, and History Channels. All these shows purport breakthru evidence like castings of footprints and DNA. In the realm of evidence collection, there’s nothing less compelling than a footprint. Any inexperienced molder can something that looks like a large footprint. And DNA? C’mon, what basis are you going to use to review Bigfoot’s DNA? There’s no similar DNA record on file anywhere, ever. So it could be anything from a house pet to a gorilla.

Let’s keep talking about evidence. Remember that video? If you don’t click here to take a look at a guy in a gorilla suit. Regardless of what other’s might say, the popular Patterson film is a hoax. I’d even venture to say that all video and photographic evidence are straightup hoaxes or simply cases of misidentification/improper witness recall.

So what about the hair evidence that’s been in the news and TV shows? It’s been verified that it’s either human hair or something along the lines of carpet fiber.

Give me a break.

On to the reproductive chain: Where are all the little baby Bigfoots? Surely with all the sightings around the world - their population must be absolutely thriving. I haven’t seen any baby sasquatches. Have you?

Lastly, it’s a known fact, so far, that most undiscovered creatures and species are small in nature - that it’s believed that most large animals have already been discovered, for example, the giant panda was found around 100 years ago. There’s been nothing since.

Ok, I’m nearing the end of this rant and wanted to say, I was sucked into the media hoopla too, and while it’s fun to wonder and think about things like that; one has to seriously do a reality check.

Science wins in the end.
