I’m a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it. -Thomas Jefferson
Conditioning wants us to believe that everything should be easy. Why should we have to work or try hard for everything we want out of this life?
Why show up?
Why show motivation or excitement about work or life?
Those little voices in our heads, all tell us that we are worthless, but yet insist we deserve everything without effort.
Shouldn’t we be entitled, after all?
The fact of the matter is – that none of us should be or are entitled.
Am I willing to work hard to be lucky?
I’d like to think so.
I’d like to think that I have a lot to show for my efforts and my dedication. In a lot of ways, I do. But there’s so much more to life.
So much more, that I know I’m missing.
For a life committed to work, is not a life I want to live!
It’s time for me to show continued enthusiasm for work, but also relearn a zest for life!
